This five-part Zoom series, taught by Gene Spence and Kartar Khalsa, has two goals; to bring relief from the emotional burdens of the times and provide a clear understanding of how Yoga works to stimulate acupuncture meridians and bring emotional balance.
Each week you'll learn one of the five systems of Chinese Medicine, and the emotional imbalance associated with it — anxiety/insomnia, overthinking/worry, grief/regret, fear and anger/depression. Each week you'll learn relevant meridians, experience Yoga, deep relaxation, a meditation, and have plenty of time for Q and A. Students will receive course notes and there will be homework.
Each student will need a simple acupuncture chart, which can be purchased here.
After taking this course, you'll have a scientific basis for sharing Yoga with others.
Gene has been a licensed, board-certified acupuncturist for 20+ years, and a Yoga teacher for 30. He's a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, practiced Shiatsu massage for four years, and apprenticed to a Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for five. He's been waiting most of that time to teach this course.
Kartar is a 50+ year Yoga teacher, discovering himself by exploring with others how we find Strength and Purpose, and a teacher trainer. He and Gene have had innumerable discussions about how Yoga and the meridians work together.
Sessions will be recorded and available for review.
