Kundalini yoga & beyond

One Saturday a month for 13 months, beginning October 4, 2025

8am-2pm MTN

Online and in person in Louisville, CO

About the class

Most everyone wants to be different, to improve, to be more of what they prefer and less of what they don’t. We long to expand, what we call “grow.”

The trouble is, it’s more fun to imagine it, than to change the attitudes and ways of thinking that might be called for to attain it. We don’t make the process easy. It’s generally slow going.

Kartar and Jacob put this course together so participants would have a chance to be very different people at its conclusion, have different ways of using their minds, different outlooks on life, with a sense of a personal North Star’s guidance, ways to slip out of the numbness caused by living at ordinary levels of consciousness and into a more subtle sense of interacting with the earth and people.

You’ll use acupuncture meridian charts to understand how kundalini yoga works, learn a whole new way to approach meditation, find a new understanding of how to loosen the entanglements of stress by studying the biology of the brain, and a new way to use parts of the mind presently considered EXTRAsensory.

It also includes a section on surrender and vulnerability, what Brené Brown calls the skill most likely to supercharge growing.

You’ll use a course workbook, several required texts, and multiple YouTube and Ted Talk videos.

And the styling of the courses is also quite different. Usually, a course like this uses a teacher/student model. If everyone is agreeable, this one won’t. Jacob and Kartar will bring the topics and readings, but each topic is meant to be a place, a circumstance, where all participants, including Jacob and Kartar, can share experience, what works for them and doesn’t. Kartar’s experience, for example, would have no more weight than that of another.

The 13 themes

  1. There is already a path, a guidance system, an order to life, a place where everything synchronizes.
  2. How to sense more subtle energy and a subtle sense of the self.
  3. Experiment, see what happens when personal practice is applied to your life.
  4. Feeling the power of breath and stillness — but approached from a place far beyond a usual yogic pranayama discussion.
  5. An exploration of surrender and vulnerability, what Brené Brown calls a spiritual growth supercharger.
  6. Working in your own energy field including Barbara Brennan’s work on actually seeing chakras.
  7. A new approach to using the mind — both in terms of benefiting from understanding the biology of stress, and beginning to sense not yet used functions of higher mind.
  8. To say it pointedly, when you spread sand on a table top and then use sound vibration, the sand arranges itself in patterns.  So too with your brain.  Learn this science.
  9. Having an intention plus the subtle sense of how to align yourself with the Unified Field or the source of all power.
  10. Integrating all parts of yourself using the work of Rumi and Dr. Gabor Mate.  Love as the Power of Self-Totality.
  11. Learning to trust inner guidance, start noticing more synchronicity, looking for telepathic information, using the mind differently.  Help there to be a different world, use the mind in a whole new dimension.
  12. Simplicity — what it means to live in a holographic Universe.
  13. Practicum presentations.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Jacob Rudolph

Jacob’s path has been shaped by a deep commitment to truth and transformation. Over the years, this has taken the form of prayer, meditation, sacred sound, yoga, and dedicated spiritual study–– all aimed at cultivating greater presence, clarity, and love.

His primary influence is the path of Devotional Nonduality, as taught by Dr. David R. Hawkins. Other meaningful threads include Kundalini Yoga, the Gong Avatar Academy, Jungian psychology, martial arts, and classical music. He embraces many spiritual traditions, but is personally devoted to Jesus Christ, his beloved friend, Lord, and Savior.

Jacob is a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Level II Reiki Practitioner. He has led dozens of gong immersions across the U.S. and Europe, co-hosting large-scale events and offering sound healing in workshops, retreats, and private settings.

Earlier in his life, Jacob became a nationally recognized LGBTQ+ advocate after his high school coming-out speech went viral on YouTube. He went on to lead national nonprofit work for over a decade and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30: Law & Policy list for his contributions to positive social change.

Today, Jacob is pursuing graduate studies in Classical Five-Element Acupuncture at the Institute of Taoist Education & Acupuncture (ITEA) in Louisville, CO. He brings a grounded, compassionate presence to his teaching and healing work, supporting others in reconnecting with their practice, their path, and their deeper sense of Self.

Kartar Khalsa

I’ve been a yoga and meditation teacher for more than 50 years. Sometimes people ask me whether the class will be too hard or too demanding. I smile and reassure them.

Fifty years of teaching has taught me how to tailor a class to the people present and to be "in the zone" when teaching so there is something for everyone.

Being "in the zone" means being soft, empty, no agenda – just offering yoga to match the theme of the day and hearing the way the Universe, not me, would do it.

The moments I live for are the breakthrough moments when someone "gets it" – breaks through to free and unbounded space where before there had been confinement, stuckness.

I offer yoga so people can use this marvelous tool to learn how to work with energy, to more easily change, to keep going and growing. I try, best as I can, to add the information, the science – how energy works (not the way we think) and why we would move in a certain way.

You’ll see the genius of moving the way you will, and you may love the feelings of freedom and expansiveness it can bring.
